queen victoria Next month sees an auction where a pair of Royal stockings are to be sold.

A pair of Queen Victoria’s silk stockings, black and white hand-stitched complete with Royal crests are expected to fetch about £400.

Apparently, items of Victoria’s underwear are the crowning glory for Victoriana collectors – I do hope they’re clean!
