Call To Ban Lingerie Bus Adverts
Tory MP Nadine Dorries is attempting to introduce a ban on lingerie adverts on London buses.
Dorries singled out a recent campaign for Armani featuring large posters of Megan Fox (pictured) in skimpy lingerie. Dorries says that children should not be exposed to such sexual images.
I haven’t seen the lingerie adverts myself so I can’t pass judgement on how racy they are. But I would say that it’s hardly surprising that a lingerie ad shows a scantily clad model …they are showing what underwear looks like after all. I do acknowledge that some images of women in underwear can be very sexual and these of course should not be displayed in public spaces.
